A very important ingredient to experiencing a life filled with Ultimate Joy is obedience - doing what we know in our heart God is asking us to do!
Philippians 4:4, says ''ejoice in the Lord always, again, I will say, rejoice!'' It seemed strange that Apostle Paul, a man in prison, would write such a letter to the Churches in Philippians. His attitude challenged the Church people, and teaches us not to focus on our circumstances but on God!
Paul was full of Joy because He knew that no matter what happened to him, Jesus Christ was with him.
He urged the Philippians to be joyful, perhaps because they needed to hear this! They might have been discouraged about unpleasant circumstances within the Church or might have taken unimportant events far too seriously! Whatever the case, Apostle Paul encouraged the people not to focus on their circumstances, but on God!
I remember quite clearly the prayer event of April 9th 2005 that proceeded my healing. As we worshipped we could feel the heavy presence of the Holy Spirit as He filled the room. As I worshipped from my wheelchair I began to feel overwhelmed by the presence of the Lord!
If you haven't been joyful lately, perhaps you have not been looking at life from the right perspective!
When we remain in our belief and stay in faith, we'll reap the Ultimate Joy that comes from Christ dwelling within us!
Psalm 16:11, says,
''You have made known to me the path of life; you will fill me with Joy in Your presence with eternal pleasures at Your right hand!''
In the midst of your trials, there is only one place you will find true strength.
In my life going quickly to the feet of my Sovereign God is where I've drawn my strength! It has come from pouring out my heart in love, telling Him how much I trust Him, even when I don't understand everything I am called to walk through...
In return, He gives me joy, strength and victory to face the tests of life.
The pressures and distractions and cares of this life, will try to push out the very thing that is our source of life!
But remember Precious, being in His Presence is not an option, it's a necessity!
